SPEAKING & PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCES

Live piano performance and storytelling exploring uncertainty, adaptation, identity and continuance.

Stephen Raine presents unique performance experiences combining concert-level piano repertoire with reflections on his experience of rebuilding both his hand function and a musical life after a serious accident.

He speaks about how meaning can be re-earned when structure breaks and how identity does not end, but changes and carries on.

Rather than traditional lectures or motivational speaking, these presentations use music itself as part of the narrative, communicating ideas that often extend beyond words alone: uncertainty, reconstruction, discipline, loss, creativity and renewal.

Stephen’s work has been presented for corporate audiences, universities, healthcare organisations and public events, including performances and talks for VISA Europe, Durham University, Schools and hand-therapy education programmes connected with NHS-led research and international rehabilitation training.
